Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Dr. Nils Roemer
Billhorner Deich 88
20539 Hamburg
Germany

Email: nils.roemer@planningio.com

This is a personal website. It does not use web analytics, tracking, cookies, or embedded third-party content (such as fonts, videos, or maps loaded from external servers). To exercise your rights or for any questions about data processing, please contact me using the details above.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit this website, GitHub technically requires certain connection data to deliver the pages to your device. This includes your IP address, the date and time of your request, the pages accessed, and general browser and operating system information. This data is processed transiently in server logs to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability; it is not merged with other data sources by me or used to identify individual visitors.

Because GitHub, Inc. is based in the USA, your data may be transferred to a third country. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023). This forms the basis for the transfer.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing and securing this website).

3. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use any tracking, analytics, or marketing tools. Fonts and all other assets are served directly from this website, so no data is transmitted to third parties beyond the hosting provider described in Section 2 when you view a page. No information is stored on or read from your device, so no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required.

4. Your data protection rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise any of these rights, please contact me as the controller using the details in Section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

5. Changes to this Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page. I encourage you to review this policy periodically.
